Our Health, Our Home.

So the question isn’t “should we care about the planet or about ourselves?” The answer is we must care about both—because they are one and the same.

Let me ask you something simple: how can we be healthy if the world we live in is not?

“Our Health is Our Home”

For nearly a decade as a gym owner I have been mostly concerned about the health of people. Helping people get fitter, stronger and happier . By lifting weights, running blocks and giving high fives. Sounds strange … but only in the last few years as a fitness guy I have come to realise ; Our health and the planet’s health are not separate. They’re deeply connected.

But here’s the good news: healing one helps heal the other. Every small step we take to care for the Earth helps protect our own health too. The well being of our planet and the well being of our bodies is one and the same. Planting trees doesn’t just fight climate change—it lowers stress, reduces hospital visits, and increases happiness.

More importantly it also helps every dimension of our personal and collective health too. For Example;

Physical health - to actually plant a tree is hard physical work

Mental health - green spaces make us feel better

Social / emotional health - doing this planting as a like minded group helps build connections and friendships. Helping Build Protective factors when times get tough.

But even better the dimension of health that affects all others is our environmental health ! What’s good for the Earth is good for us. When we protect nature, We protect ourselves We don’t have to wait for someone else to fix our health.

We are the solution. Taking care of the Earths health is taking care of ourselves and each other’s health . The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago and the second best time is today! From all of us at CFMR we’d love you to go out in nature and Plant a Tree today!
